I am thrilled to finally bring Symbiotic Security to the world. This is the culmination of months of dedication, countless late nights, and the unwavering belief in our mission.
To start, I couldn't be prouder of this team. These are top A-players who chose to rally around our vision, not because of a flashy brand or deep pockets, but because they genuinely believe in what we’re building. They know firsthand the challenges we’re solving. They’re all-in because they see the need for a fundamental shift in how we approach security. To each of you: thank you, and onward to growing together.
We believe that the real defenders of our digital safety are the operational teams — the developers, admins, engineers, sellers, lawyers — everyone who creates, uses, and improves their company’s vital assets. These are the people who care most about the protection of their work, and they are in the best position to control their organization’s digital security.
But this is not how cybersecurity has been working these last 20 years. In the old world I come from, security has been almost exclusively the domain of cybersecurity experts. While these professionals are doing a fantastic job, this narrow focus has led to security vendors designing tools solely for security teams, oblivious to the needs and preferences of the actual risk owners. In the field of application and code security, the result is an untenable frustration among developers and a growing divide between developer and security teams, leading to security desensitization and, eventually, to global insecurity for all of us.
This is not sustainable. This paradigm needs to change because it’s in everyone’s interest, including security teams, that risk owners start to love security and want to take an active role in it, not because they have to, but because they want to.
And that’s our quest. We’re building solutions that are meant first and foremost for our risk owners: developers. We're providing them with the right tools and knowledge to protect what they own, and in a way that make them experience security as a positive, empowering part of their work. We want them to work synergistically with security teams, in a way that benefits to everyone. In other words, we believe in a world of symbiotic security.
We've launched the first phase of our journey — making security a positive experience for developers. By helping them grow and showing them the value in it, we'll allow them to make this world safer for the rest of us.
I'm incredibly excited for what's ahead. Here’s to a new era of security that’s proactive, inclusive, and truly symbiotic.
Thank you to everyone - Let’s outsmart and eliminate vulnerabilities together.
